Matt’s fascination with the art of recording started (unsurprisingly) with wanting to capture himself on the drums. As a Berklee student in the mid '00s he had this crazy idea that he could learn enough about drum-recording techniques to be able to offer drum tracks “over the internet”. Though even then, the novelty of the idea was questionable, Matt charged on and completed his BA of Music Production & Engineering cum laude.

Armed with this new-found knowledge and a few generous graduation gifts, Matt pieced together the equipment to properly record his drum kit and set out to hone his skills. What he quickly came to learn was that simply by having the all the gear for recording drums, and more importantly, a place to set it up and get loud, he had recording studio. It wasn't long before people started to ask him to record other things.

Since then, Matt’s found the joy in every aspect of the audio recording process. From pre-production up thru the final master, he commits the same level of enthusiasm, attention to detail, and musical sense to making every project sound the best it can.
